Not sure I can follow along with this analogy. There is a difference between tickets to an event and a consumer product after all. Those tickets for example are finite (there’s a limited number of seats) and a person has only one opportunity to acquire one (there’s only one and unique show or match). A console however is not finite; for all intends and purposes an infinite number will be made and you will be able to get one at literally any time in the future without it being different than if you get it day one.
With that said, yes, scalping is deplorable, and a pretty dishonest thing to do which should be judged by society at least. Most gamers however sadly are sheep, and they’ll take any kind of crap.
