The Hugo Awards, the prestigious annual literary award for science fiction and fantasy works, is going to have a videogame category in 2021. Like the Oscars, the Hugos are awarded for achievements made in the prior year. As such, the World Science Fiction Committee has decided that due to the heightened influence of videogames during the pandemic, the medium deserved to be recognised—for that year only.

https://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-troys-multiplayer-is-finally-here-for-you-to-declare-war-on-all-your-friends/
Without wanting to start a discussion about Total War AI, multiplayer tends to make each game in the series just a little bit better. Creative Assembly's depiction of the Trojan War lacked multiplayer support when it released back in August, as the team wanted to focus on the campaign, but it was always a fixed point on Total War Saga: Troy's 2020 roadmap. The multiplayer for up to eight players launches in beta on November 26. The update will also include support for community maps, a whole new co-op campaign and more.

The launch of Baldur's Gate 3 on Steam Early Access was legitimately exciting, but at this point we've pretty well settled into the long slog of actual game development. That, unfortunately, means it's at the stage where necessary major updates—including patch 3, which Larian said today "is just around the corner"—are going to start having compatibility issues with existing saves.

Fortnite has horrible corn and pie bodies now

Fun fact about mince pie: People used to think it caused nightmares, and in some cases, even insanity. Given that, the Nightmare Before Christmas grin on Mincemeat, one of two new and terrible Fortnite skins, is appropriate.
