That's basically what I was thinking. Price cutting is going to have to be accompanied with stronger than normal software sales to offset the loss, or lack of profit that they will no longer be making off of the system.

PS3 may follow suit if the price drop was as effective as Sony's last year, but if it ends up like MS's "Others" price drop, don't expect Sony to follow suit.

 

 The price cut in america wont be like the one in others though.. with the ps3 still outselling the 360 regardless of pricecut..however sony is in a position to slaughter the 360 when they decide to cut the price in europe again... however i expect ps3 sales to dip regardless of what games are coming out.when the 360 cuts price in the americas.
