So when you say “to get a full and complete MS first party game you need to spend $100 on MTX” you’re actually just referring to one game and one unreleased game. Gotcha. Makes complete sense.

Can you please list these micro transactions you need to buy in Gears 5 to get the complete experience? I’m doing a Gears play through and when I get to Gears 5, I want to make sure I get the full experience. Mind you, I’ve already played more than a bit of the multiplayer, so I know you don’t need to spend a penny there, but what are these other micro transactions? Thanks, friend.

@bolded: Of course. I don't know why anybody would think otherwise.

You can do the math for yourself. Figure out how much Iron you can earn from 300 hours of gameplay (an obscene amount of time to spend in a single game IMO). Convert that Iron into real world money. Next add up all the cost of the premium cosmetics in Gears 5 multiplayer (A.K.A. the ones that you'll never get from a supply drop). Subtract the former from the latter.

If you get confused by this convoluted B.S. then Kotaku is here to help you wade through the Coalition's nonsense. https://kotaku.com/how-gears-5-s-confusing-microtransactions-work-1837942737

Because you said this: “ To get a full and complete 1st party Xbox game you need to spend well over $100 in MTX.”

No logical person would read that and come away thinking you meant just Gears 5 and an unreleased title. Otherwise, instead of putting “1st party Xbox game” you would have said “Gears 5”. If I were to say “to get a complete war party Sony game you need to spend hundreds in MTX” and then when pressed I say oh I just meant Last of Us and The Show, I’d be laughed at and probably banned. But hey, you’re shitting on Xbox with your trolling, so it’s all good.

As for Gears 5, you don’t need to spend a penny to get a complete experience. The only things you’d spend money on are if you want a premium skin or some kind of time saving purchase for stuff you can otherwise unlock in game. And the game is extremely generous with supply packs and even has a free battle pass system. Per usual, you’re full of shit here. That would be like me saying that you need to spend $250 and buy the Ellie Edition to get the full Last of Us 2 experience. See how stupid that sounds? That’s your argument.

300 hours is a fine amount of time to spend in a game. I can’t imagine looking at someone getting that much value out of their game and complaining about it.
