Crusader Kings 3 sold more than a million copies, pushes Paradox profits up by 102%

Paradox Interactive today gave an interim report on its financial results for the latest quarter, as well as the year so far. And, even given the fact everyone's been stuck indoors for most of the year, they're pretty stunning.
A quick note that these results are in Swedish SEK, and MSEK means a million SEK. For the last quarter revenues increased by 75% while "operating profit amounted to MSEK 187.7 [$21.8 million] (MSEK 93.1 [$10.8 million]), an increase by 102 %." This rise is attributed primarily to Cities: Skylines, Crusader Kings III, Europa Universalis IV, Hearts of Iron IV and Stellaris.
Looking at the first nine months of the year so far: revenue was up 50% to just under $160 million, while profits are just over $64 million, up 78% on the equivalent period in 2019. The results also mention that, overall, Paradox now has a cool $70 million in cash.

Nvidia has announced a quartet of new games to get the DLSS treatment, with claimed performance boosts of as much as a frankly bonkers 120 percent at 4K. Titles include Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War, War Thunder, Enlisted and Ready Or Not. Meanwhile, Nvidia has also announced a new ‘RTX’ custom map for Fortnite, complete with several flavours of ray-traced visuals.

After over five months of development, a team of modders released the biggest content pack for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Shades of Iron. Shades of Iron is an excessively vast content pack of brand new armour, weapons, and new enemies. According to the team, this content does not replace any of the default content. Instead, it adds new additional content to the game.
Going into more details, Shades of Iron features a total of 542 brand new fully functional items and over 125 brand new enemies. It also packs 26 new armor sets and 36 new weapons.
Armour comes with newly introduced mechanics, enabling further character customization. Not only that, but all armor sets come with fully simulated cloth physics. Additionally, this mod brings some changes to the weapons. For instance, spears have increased reach, greatswords are slower & deadly, and daggers are fast and unforgiving.

The ransomware attack at Capcom has compromised player information

Last week we informed you about Capcom being a victim of a cyberattack. Ragnar Locker, the group responsible for the attack, claimed they have stolen one terabyte of files. The attackers demanded eleven million dollars in bitcoins for a decryptor.
According to the initial press release from Capcom, no customer information was breached at that time. However, and according to the recent press release, some customer information has been compromised.
