THREAD WARNING

O_o... dafuq happened here?

I don't know if there is a proper place for making lists of users by console allegiance (I'd say probably no), but if there is, it certainly isn't in this thread about the PS4-PS5 transition taking 3 years. I don't *think* I see anything here that requires action, but definitely not heading in a good direction.

So, if you guys want to talk about the PS4-PS5 transition taking 3 years, get back on track. Continuing on this path is probably going to lead to either thread bans, ban bans, or a lock as might be necessary.

To maybe get things back on track, I'm glad the transition will be taking 2-3 years. As someone who is typically a late adopter, and someone who bought an XBox One a few months ago cause I greatly overestimated what the price on the new gen would be, I'm happy I'll be able to get by with my PS4 and XBox One for the foreseeable future.

I get that it takes away from the excitement of next gen, but I think it's also important to show people that investing in your machine will pay off in the long run. I was willing to buy an XBox One this year because I was confident it would've been wasted money (although I regret it), and likewise last gen I bought a PS3 in like 2011 because of how well Sony supported the PS2.

As long as there is a healthy number of next-gen exclusives from the platform holder there isn't a problem with 3rd parties and some less demanding 1st party games being crossgen. But if you don't give enough reason to buy the new console that is bad.
