Small amount of cost for a good humanitarian act with very good PR result.

Yeah, it’s a Win-win-win for MS. Probably cost them less than $12,000 to make the 20 Series X units, plus I assume airfare to fly Dwayne around to the hospitals. Has already been seen over 4m times between Dwayne’s Instagram, Facebook, and twitter, not to mention the people who will have read about it on various news sites that have picked up the story, so possibly over 5m views all told. Marketing wise it is a really good return on investment for MS, will have cost much less than running a tv ad that got a similar number of views. But most importantly, they get to bring joy into the lives of an estimated 50,000+ kids who will get to use those 20 consoles over the course of the generation at those 20 hospitals, plus the kids currently at those hospitals get to meet The Rock himself. Win-win-win.

The most expensive part that would be The Rock endorsement probably was free because it was for a good cause.
