I was reading numerous articles stating how video game sales are recession proof, due to the increase in sales every year. Video game revenue in 2007 reached an amazing 40 billion dollars. In 2008, it is projected to be 57 billion dollars. Even though the economy is going downhill, video games are going uphill. It seems as though they have some sort of inverse relationship. I would assume that it is due to parents not being able to purchase other expensive items such as: cars, a great deal of toys, and other expensive items. I guess that parents purchase more games because they feel despair for not being able to acquire accessories. Also, if you look at the world today, it is becoming more and more sedentary, and less active outdoor activities.
