I expected the 3070 to be about 1-2% weaker on average but it's still on par with my expectations. I still think the 2080ti is overall the better choice for performance. I want to see benchmarks for the new games in the next 2 years to see if it can hold up.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
