I'm fully expecting big franchises like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout to be availabe on Playstation 5. Too much revene to ignore. Just like with Minecraft.
I don't think MS did this for Xbox, but for Gamepass. They are trying to make it the Netflix of gaming, and succeeding.
