In a perfect world they absolutely should rise. But in a perfect world we'd also actually have complete games that are not full of micro transactions, carved out content and gambling. The games that actually should cost more than $60 are not getting made anymore.
If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.
