I have my doubts about GOW2. 3 year turn around from the last game and Sony’s messaging issues makes it uncertain at this point. Imo in the end it comes down to money. A brand new install base won’t give you the same returns when you have a 110 million base also. If Sony hurt at all during the pandemic and if they in fact taking a hit on the PS5 hardware I can see this as part of their measures to ensure profitability overall. 

Yeah, who knows anymore lol. I definitely feel like Sony dropped the ball on that one. They did get a lot crap for it so hopefully they'll think twice before they'll make gow2 cross gen too, though.

The confirmation of Horizon 2 arriving on PS4 as well is really disappointing.

For me it was always weird how Xbox guys were so ok with the whole cross gen thing, which is why I spend all those months ranting. In the end we all want the same from next gen; great games that wouldn't be possible on the console we already have. If Sony or MS isn't delivering on that front, I really feel we should call them out on it. 

Well I’ve always said it’s never been done where a company makes full use of consoles potential year 1. So logically if it’s never happened make the most of it and expand platform availability. 

Plus many of us are on board with the overall message of nurturing the “ecosystem” and not one console being the sole space for a companies efforts. So long as they do a healthy mix of cross gen and full next gen exclusives, (which is evident on both sides) then I really can’t complain.
