Unofficial Response: Sony knows damn well they got their fans right where they want them. They know they can make more money from traditional sales and have no reason to transition from short term income gain to steady flow of income.

Oh shit business are going to business, do you think Microsoft created gamepass because they feel nice and like giving? Each company is going to do what they feel will bring them the most profit

Well I mean I played 20 games last year and 15 this year so far on Game Pass alone where as you would have to spend hundreds to even approach what I’m playing for $180 a year. 

I am very aware it’s all a business on both sides. But I’m clearly getting the better deal, if anything from a purely financial and bang-for-buck point of view.

Imo Sony demands more of your money because they can.
