The reaction to both xbox cross platform games and now this announcement just validates that opinion. If they had been more transparent and just announced a PS4 version from the beginning, sure some may have been disappointed but the smoke would have cleared by now and it would be a non-issue. |
agree that sony needs to work on their messaging. I have even said that in one of the many threads that popped up. That has always been the single biggest issue I have with any too. Their messaging, and even as we type right now, they are still doing it. There are a lot of things that they can do, show or say that would just make a lot of things easier on everyone and answer the questions everyone has. Bt as always, sony would just stay silent, then when they do talk... there are always stuff they leave out. And I agree with what you are saying about just being transparent.
However, what I am not agreeing with as that there are a lot of people acting like sony has/was lying or being deceitful. I don't think that's the case at all being that all these announcements were made before the console or the game came out. Imagine they kept quiet of all this, then in December they go and say "oh MM is also coming to the PS4 and it's available digitally right now". They said they believe in generations, I just don't see how 3 cross-gen games out of the like 7 announced games in the first year alone mean they have somehow lied.
To lie would have been to say "we will not release anything on the PS4 anymore" and then they do this. They never said that. All they said was, we believe in generations.
