As I said it is funny that Sony even without saying they would have crossgen or leave no one behind and that they wanted a fast transition still have more AAA titles being crossgen. And sure it raises concerns about PS4 holding down the game, it is a very valid concern that only after the game launch can be dispel.

Well, I'm not really sure what you'd expect given what they've pumped out this year.  He made the promise of cross-gen with Halo being the titular example (to be determined) but also across a sea of more modest examples.  Everwild seems like one that yeeted 8th-gen consoles, but if it's past that one year mark I don't find the change all that offensive.  But, again, MS' messaging on that was focused on their 1st-party family to begin with and they seem to be maintaining that 'Xbox ecosystem' aesthetic.  

Well that's just untrue given what Bloober Team has talked about SSD demands for The Medium.  Even AA devs are capable of managing 9th-gen power in a way that simply isn't feasible for 8th-gen.

I mean...technically it surmounts it by just 1 (unless counting Sackboy Adventure) and we're not entirely sure if that's the only AAA that'll honor the One/Series/PC ecosystem promise.  I guess I'll have to be open about my bias and say I'm more invested in shitting on the 'held back' narrative now that the chickens have come home to roost.

So it was a very empty promise with only Halo being a noteworthy title and he was only trying to give himself a pat on the back? Well and Phil Spencer going there to help with no gamer left behind (with weeks later revealing a game that would be only on Series X).

And what have MS pumped out? Sony pumped TLOU2 and GoT and still got SM:MM and several other titles ready for PS5 launch.

Sure AA devs can harness a 9th gen power (well several of those will still look inferior compared to the best 8th gen titles even so), but when a dev say they chose Series X for power (thus not releasing on PS5) was very obvious he wasn`t being true.
