Who knows. x86 has had many competitors in the past and it managed to out last them and it's not like Arm isn't about to hit a wall either as the gains have been meh. Until Windows can work with Arm properly while delivering x86 levels of performance, it ain't gonna do much other than low end devices, apple and mobile. Surface Pro X for example is a solid flop cause of how awful it is to use with windows apps.
