Friday news, part two:
Ubisoft CEO apologizes to 'everyone who was hurt' by workplace abuses
https://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-ceo-apologizes-for-workplace-abuses-promises-it-wont-happen-again/
Ahead of today's Ubisoft Forward online event, the company posted a video in which CEO Yves Guillemot apologized for "internal issues" at the company in which "certain Ubisoft employees did not uphold" the company's values, and promised that Ubisoft would improve in the future.
Ubisoft is finally bringing Scott Pilgrim vs. the World back from license limbo
https://www.pcgamer.com/ubisoft-is-finally-bringing-back-scott-pilgrim-vs-the-world-from-license-limbo/
For years, fans of the 2010 beat 'em up Scott Pilgrim vs. the World: The Game have been lobbying Ubisoft to bring it back. It was delisted from digital stores back in 2014, after a teased online multiplayer patch never materialized. But as proof that good things can happen in 2020, Ubisoft's finally re-releasing the game at the end of this year, remastered and bundled with its old DLC.
Watch Dogs: Legion is bringing back the series' original lead character
https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-dogs-legion-is-bringing-back-the-series-original-lead-character/
The Watch Dogs: Legion video that played during today's Ubisoft Forward event didn't really show us anything we haven't seen previously. After the trailer, though, we did get a surprise: Aiden Pearce, the lead character of the original Watch Dogs, will be added to Legion in a post-launch update.
>> And Stormzy will have his own mission.
Acclaimed PlayStation adventure The Unfinished Swan finally comes to PC
https://www.pcgamer.com/acclaimed-playstation-adventure-the-unfinished-swan-finally-comes-to-pc/
The Unfinished Swan is a critically-acclaimed first-person adventure developed by Giant Sparrow and released as a PlayStation 3 exclusive in 2012. The closest it ever came to PC was as a touching reference in Giant Sparrow's next game, the wonderful, haunting What Remains of Edith Finch, although yes, it was also playable through the PS Now service. But now it's here for real: With no fanfare, or advance notice of any sort that I'm aware of, publisher Annapurna Interactive dropped the game on Steam and the Epic Games Store today.
Call of Duty take note: Warframe is reducing its install size by up to 15GB
https://www.pcgamer.com/call-of-duty-take-note-warframe-is-reducing-its-install-size-by-up-to-15gb/
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare now eats up more than 200GB of hard drive space, an absolutely massive chunk of digital real estate for a single game. Shortly after ballooning to that ridiculous size, we sent forth a plaintive plea: Make game smaller, please. Surprisingly, one studio heard our calls, and replied, "Yeah, we can do that."
Hotshot Racing is a colorful '90s arcade racer out now on Steam
https://www.pcgamer.com/hotshot-racing-is-a-colourful-90s-arcade-racer-out-now-on-steam/
If you love racing, and consider yourself a hotshot, the newly released Hotshot Racing is probably already on your radar: it's a gorgeous retro-styled arcade racer in the vein of Horizon Chase Turbo, though Hotshot Racing seems to borrow more from Virtua Racing when it comes to the art style.
>> I can't for the love of me, understand why would someone link a competing game in the first paragraph when making an article about another game, so here is the https://store.steampowered.com/app/609920/Hotshot_Racing/Steam link for Hotshot Racing.

Surprise, Disgaea 4's PC version is out now
https://www.pcgamer.com/surprise-disgaea-4s-pc-version-is-out-now/
In July it was announced that Disgaea 4 would be next in the series of tactical JRPGs with over-the-top characters to receive a PC port, with a vague release date of "fall". Today, it appeared out of the blue on both Steam and Game Pass. Which is nice.
Destiny 2 is bringing back ritual and adept weapons for Beyond Light
https://www.pcgamer.com/destiny-2-is-bringing-back-ritual-weapons-for-beyond-light/
Bungie continues to drip feed Beyond Light information through its weekly This Week at Bungie blog posts, and this week the focus is on Destiny 2's core activities and associated loot. In the post, Bungie announced the return of pursuit weapons—special, curated guns that are earned through a (usually lengthy) quest that involves playing through either Strikes, Crucible or Gambit.
