I still play and enjoy it regularly. Over the Christmas holidays (or whenever Gears 5 released), I had a relative that only played PlayStation staying with me. I was playing Gears 5 and he wanted to join in. Instead, we started with Gears 1 and he thought it was awesome. It may not be as good as it was (and I stress may not) but we had a blast. If you're bored enough to go through my Xbox profile, you can find this in my gaming history. I think I even unlocked some missing Achievements.
*Edit* Checked it. I got the "Dom inaction" Achievement on Christmas day because I was playing as Dom (player 2) for the first time.
