Not all games, but a lot of them do. think of any call of duty, fifa, maden, forza. Sony's games dont tend to be outdated in 3 years, but that dosent mean that in 3 years another game wont be released by sony that beats that 3 year old game in every way and your more inclined to play that one over the old one.

Same price? The 2080 Ti was $1200 launch. 3080 is $700.

???? Did you read the sides or watched digital foundry's video? Nvidea claimed a 2x performance from the 2080 a $700 card, to a 3080 a $700 card. the video on digital foundry was a comparison of the 2080 to the 3080. At not point did they even mentioned the 2080ti.

Oh there are more lame yearly series and I hate them all as well and there are plenty more. Just giving examples of games that dont last even a year.
