Here's 12 minutes of The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon DLC Gameplay
https://www.pcgamer.com/heres-12-minutes-of-the-outer-worlds-peril-on-gorgon-dlc-gameplay/
First announced during the Xbox Games Showcase with a delightfully pulpy trailer, The Outer Worlds' first DLC out of a total two, named Peril on Gorgon, got a gameplay trailer with some short commentary by game director Carrie Patel. The DLC introduces the asteroid Gorgon, a whole new setting where a whoopsie with harmful science experiments to have taken place, morphing inhabitants and animals alike into warped monsters. Sent to Gorgon to find out how a promising scientific invention turned into a highly potent drug, the crew of the Unreliable of course need to shoot and saw their way through the colony in search for answers.
Beautiful noir platformer White Shadows adapts Animal Farm, but in a strangely cute way
https://www.pcgamer.com/beautiful-noir-platformer-white-shadows-adapts-animal-farm-but-in-a-strangely-cute-way/
White Shadows looks like Limbo meets Metropolis, with visually stunning results. It is a 2D platformer in front of a 3D background, and will feature some staples of creepy platformers you have seen in Limbo, namely swinging cages to hold on to and pits full of rotating saw blades. It's not just a Limbo clone, though. Not only does the combination of 3D backgrounds and black and white art result in some stunning visuals, the game is also apparently a loose adaptation of George Orwell's Animal Farm (no, not that adaptation of Orwell's Animal Farm. That one's an adventure game by the makers of Reigns.).
World of Warcraft: Shadowlands minimum system requirements call for an SSD
https://www.pcgamer.com/world-of-warcraft-pc-system-requirements/
The minimum system requirements for the upcoming World of Warcraft: Shadowlands expansion have been revealed, and they're fairly unremarkable but for one point: You'll need 100GB of storage space, which is an awful lot (but still nowhere near the maniacal 200GB+ required by Modern Warfare), but more importantly, Blizzard wants that storage space on an SSD.
Fall Guys raises $1 million for Special Effect charity
https://www.pcgamer.com/fall-guys-raises-dollar1-million-for-special-effect-charity/
Two weeks ago Fall Guys tapped into the brand madness on Twitter, challenging the various corporations that were tirelessly pitching Fall Guys costume concepts to donate to charity. The deal was, the top bidder after two weeks would get a Fall Guys skin added to the battle royale, with the money going to Special Effect, a charity dedicated to improving the lives of gamers with disabilities.
Check out a new Everspace 2 video and developer AMA in our forums
https://www.pcgamer.com/check-out-a-new-everspace-2-video-and-developer-ama-in-our-forums/
Everspace is a roguelike space combat game that released a few years ago (and which happens to be on sale for under $5 on Steam right now), and off the back of its success and a well-funded Kickstarter campaign, developer Rockfish Games is making an even bigger open-world space RPG with Everspace 2. We saw a new trailer earlier this year at the PC Gaming Show.
If you've got any questions about Everspace 2, here's your chance to ask: The developers at Rockfish are directly responding to PC Gamer reader questions in an AMA forum thread this week.
Wasteland 3 rewards you for killing the Patriarch early, but you need to cheat
https://www.pcgamer.com/wasteland-3-rewards-you-for-killing-the-patriarch-early-but-you-need-to-cheat/
Wasteland 3 is an excellent role-playing game with a very long leash when it comes to player agency, but there are limits imposed by how tough your squad is. For example: about half-hour into the game, when you first encounter Colorado ruler The Patriarch, you might be tempted to kill him, just to see if it's possible. The Patriarch factors pretty heavily into the narrative, and he's the one who dishes out the major story quests that gets Wasteland 3's ball rolling.
Halo Infinite's Monster Energy promotion gives you double XP for a game coming out in 2021
https://www.pcgamer.com/halo-infinites-monster-energy-promotion-gives-you-double-xp-for-a-game-coming-out-in-2021/
Halo Infinite has been delayed until 2021, but thankfully you can still experience some of the marketing hype that would have preceded its launch. The best part of any big game launch, after all, is seeing your favourite characters emblazoned on packets of microwavable pasta and cans of energy piss.
Please excuse my bad English.
