Activision has filed suit against a cheat and hack program developer, forcing the company in question to disable their hacks for Call of Duty related products. The cheats in question were used in both Warzone and Modern Warfare. Hack maker CxCheats posted a statement to their Discord server, later taken down along with the whole server, regarding the lawsuit.

Announced at Gamescom 2020, lovecraftian horror meets cyberpunk tropes in upcoming adventure game Transient from Stormling Studios and Iceberg Interactive. Transient takes place in an enclosed, domed city called Providence—the last place human beings can survive on a post-apocalyptic Earth. The player is a hacker, Randolph Carter, who in the pursuit of a puzzling mystery does the usual cosmic horror protagonist thing and "stumbles across the terrifying truth, a truth that might tear apart his own sanity and lead him to question his very existence."

Madden NFL 21 has one of the lowest user scores on Metacritic

EA's latest iteration of the Madden NFL series was released on August 28, with the PC version available on Steam as well as Origin as part of EA's new partnership with Valve. User reviews on Steam are currently sitting on a rating of 'Mixed' and on Metacritic they're even worse. The PC version has a user score of 1.2 at the time of writing, with PS4 enjoying a score of 0.4. That's even lower than Warcraft 3: Reforged's record low of 0.5.

Ubisoft's Gods & Monsters likely has its new name

The Taiwan Digital Game Rating Committee has rated a game called "Immortals: Fenyx Rising" by Ubisoft for PC and consoles.
It's highly likely this is the new title for the delayed Gods & Monsters, which was originally supposed to release in February this year. Back when an old demo of the game briefly leaked on Stadia, Ubisoft called it "the game formerly known as Gods & Monsters" in a statement to Kotaku, and planned to reveal more info towards the "end of summer".

Ghostrunner gets a new teaser, beta registration now open

As part of Gamescom's Awesome Indies showcase, Ghostrunner got a new teaser this weekend. It briefly shows off its neon-soaked city and some of the first-person wall-running and people-slicing gameplay to some good good beats. This is the first look at the game since back June, when we got both the demo and extensive looks at the game in action at the Future Games Show and IGN's Summer of Gaming event.

From the short new trailer we already know the small cast of people doomed to meet each other over and over again consists of none other than James McAvoy (X-Men, His Dark Materials), Daisy Ridley (Star Wars, Muder on the Orient Express) and Willem Dafoe (The Lighthouse, Spider-Man).

Seduction is a well-known, expansive diplomacy mechanic in Crusader Kings, which allows you to grow your dynasty by producing and legitimising bastard children, making your way into other courts or simply to help your future spouse have a better opinion of you. You can seduce a number of characters, including a rose bush, and start a lot of court drama this way. Men seducing female rulers can also gain prestige, and yes, the sound you can hear if you open your window anywhere in the world right now is that of me sighing.
