They either need to do day 1, same price, PC ports, or keep their games exclusive. If there are day 1, same price, PC ports, then I can just happily skip PS5, and buy my AAA games on PC. If they keep their games exclusive for the whole gen, then I can happily buy a PS5, knowing full well that it was a good purchase.
Edit: Or to put it another way, I just don't want to get jerked around. Don't jerk me around by making me wait, in the dark, for a PC release. Don't jerk me around by saying a game is exclusive to a $500 machine, and then release it on another platform three years later.
