Call of Duty ARG continues with more Cold War teasing, but no reveal yet
https://www.pcgamer.com/call-of-duty-arg-continues-with-more-cold-war-teasing-but-no-reveal-yet/
Earlier this week we said that a Call of Duty: Black Ops - Cold War ARG was teasing an upcoming reveal for the next game in the series, leaked long ago as Black Ops – Cold War, that was set to happen today. But with the big day here, it appears that what we're really getting, sorry to say, is more ARG.

https://www.pcgamer.com/the-next-phoenix-point-dlc-will-be-out-later-this-month/
The next DLC release for Phoenix Point, the XCOM-like strategy game about an alien invasion of Earth, is coming this month. A solid date hasn't been set just yet, but developer Snapshot Games said in the Phoenix Point forums that it will most likely be nailed down next week.
Mount and Blade 2 shows off official mod tools in a new dev update, and they look awesome
https://www.pcgamer.com/mount-and-blade-2-shows-off-official-mod-tools-in-a-new-dev-update-and-they-look-awesome/
Mount and Blade 2: Bannerlord mods have been around since the game first released on Early Access back in—wait did Bannerlord seriously only release four months ago? It feels like it's been forever. Holy hell that feels surreal for some reason. Anyway, mods. So, yeah, players have been hacking and modding Bannerlord for a long time now, but I'm predicting that scene is going to explode with cool stuff pretty soon because its official mod tools are just weeks away.
Fortnite item shop: Joker and Poison Ivy debut in this holiday bundle
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-joker-poison-ivy-skin-bundle/
Two of the comics industry's most infamous villains are getting their own skins in Fortnite, and not a moment too soon for the holiday season. Joker, the clown prince of crime, Batman's archnemesis, and the subject of many a Hot Topic shirt will be available this November. He's joined by Poison Ivy, the similarly popular Batman villain who's had a recent revival as the better half to Harley Quinn in both the comics and the Harley Quinn animated series.
Factorio's new spider robot has mesmerizing telescoping legs
https://www.pcgamer.com/factorios-new-spider-robot-has-mesmerizing-telescoping-legs/
Factorio launched out of early access with a thunderous 1.0 patch yesterday, bringing four years of development on one of the most impressive games there is to a close. As a treat, the developers added a giant mechanical spider robot for endgame players to build and control, and it is beautifully animated. The Spidertron seems to dynamically use its eight legs to traverse obstacles and step over gaps—gaps like bodies of water. Skip to the bottom of the post if you do not like spiders, because there's a mod for that.
Rainbow Six Siege’s next update is going bananas with new features
https://www.pcgamer.com/rainbow-six-sieges-next-update-is-going-bananas-with-new-features/
What if I told you that, somehow, Sam Fisher’s debut on the Rainbow Six Siege roster wasn’t the most exciting change coming in Operation Shadow Legacy? Don’t get me wrong, he’s great, but this update is packed with small features and quality-of-life changes that will drastically change how the game is played.

Spelunky 2 is now on Steam with an updated release window
https://www.pcgamer.com/spelunky-2-is-now-on-steam-with-an-updated-release-window/
Perhaps the most hotly anticipated platformer release of the year, the Spelunky 2 Steam page is now up. The new roguelike platformer is to release on PS4 on September 15, but the PC release date has remained rather nebulous, with a simple statement that it would be 'shortly after'. Well, that information is now ever-so-slightly less nebulous: Developer Derek Yu says they're aiming to get Spelunky 2 out the door "no later than a few weeks" after the PS4 release. That's probably something like early to mid October.

The cosmetic skins available in the Fall Guys item shop are on a constant daily rotation, and some can be purchased with kudos (earned simply by playing, or bought with real money) while others can only be bought with crowns, earned by winning matches or working through the season progress meter.
The Viking Way looks like Mount and Blade but with bigger beards
https://www.pcgamer.com/the-viking-way-looks-like-mount-and-blade-but-with-bigger-beards/
Live the life of a marauding Viking: sail, trade, manage armies and fleets of boats, and then get stuck into some third-person combat when the need arises. It's The Viking Way, an upcoming sandbox sim that looks on the surface to be a lot like Mount and Blade but with a lot of axes and extra pillaging.
Mixolumia is a ridiculously addictive new block puzzler
https://www.pcgamer.com/mixolumia-is-a-ridiculously-addictive-new-block-puzzler/
I will always love block-clearing puzzle games. No matter how advanced videogames get, the pure, simple joy of slotting little coloured blocks together, and watching them fizzle away satisfyingly, will always tickle a very specific part of my brain. It's the reason I keep an original Game Boy with Tetris on my desk, why I fondly reminisce about the many happy hours I spent playing Lumines on the PSP, and why I've fallen hard for Mixolumia.
Please excuse my bad English.
