"Personally, the more and more I see of next generation gaming the less and less impressed I become. I'm thinking I will be passing on being an early adopter for now and just get more Switch accessories/games and catch up on my backlog of games."
Yeah... so I guess you're becoming less and less impressed with the Switch XD
I suggested "what you really want to do is talk about how the Switch is so much better than what Microsoft and Sony are doing".
To which you replied by changing your conclusion to say...
"Just going to focus on the Switch and catch up on my backlog of games as their next gen focus is more appealing."
Which is... like exactly what I said your actual topic was.

At any rate, the change in the OP does resolve the issue mostly. I'll give you time to change the title of the topic as well to actually describe what this topic is about. Something like "Nintendo's Approach to Next Gen Is Superior" or whatever. Next gen gaming is far too vague. So, do that before your next reply in this topic please.
This was a discussion that would have been better to have via PM... but since you decided to call me out here, I felt I had to justify my actions, particularly since they didn't make sense with new OP. If you're the kind of guy who needs the last word, have at it. Not going to reply, because I legitimately don't want to derail this further, but will be keeping an eye on the topic. If it seems like a legit conversation about the next gen, cool beans. If not, then I'll talk with the other mods and we'll decide what to do :)

Getting a little ahead of yourself with the pic there... lol
Regardless, I changed the OP to better reflect what my point of view was as you asked in the first reply. Also, is the thread title more fitting?
The thread isn't intended to be a Nintendo is Best... it's about looking at the approaches we are seeing and how the community feels about those.
Not worried about "having the last word". Thanks for pointing out how it could be perceived, wasn't my intention.
Now back on topic, your post pointing out the graphical differences was well put together. Do you think gaming is close to reaching the limits of graphic fidelity on consoles?

Lol... I just PMed you about this. But yes, the thread title is more fitting. As I said in my PM, it's part of my job to be on the lookout for users who are looking to start trouble, so sometimes that does lead us maybe to be overly suspicious. Next time something like this happens, I'll PM you first, because in retrospect that may have been the better option.
On topic... I don't think I'd say we're close to reaching the limits on graphical fidelity on consoles. But, I'd say that for there to be another SNES-N64 level jump, there would have to be a major breakthrough in technology. Improvement can still happen without that, but if technology follows the current trend, the differences will be more incremental.
