Because its easy to pick on gaming nowadays when it comes to woke/cancel culture. You have extreme leftists like people on Resetera, who actively push their agenda on a big scale, and go as far as cancelling or doxing companies/individuals if a game company doesn't support their ideals.
I'm glad we still have gaming companies like CD Project who aren't afraid to put something out there that can possible offend. If it suits their game and does not harm then so be it. I'm afraid we will see games like GTA 6 will be held back on its satire nature and take on cultural criticisms because of this.
Not to say that we shouldn't have some restraint in video games, its just that its rather disappointing to see that a large number of devs have joined the social bandwagon as of late; in holding back their designs, due to being afraid of outrage.
I say bring the sexiness back into videogames, and stop being so offended at every damn thing. This year has been so poo poo, people need to direct their hate onto other things, play some games and let others enjoy their hobby.
