I don't think any greedy developer can top the greedy tactic of forcing you to buy a $300 plastic box you don't really want just to gain the privilege to play their game.

Instead they can force you to pay $1000 over seven years to wear pretty costumes in your games, get all the content, and skip the grind. If I have to pay $300 just to have games release in a complete state, for a flat $60 price tag, with no Denuvo, and a physical copy, I'm going to do it. I've bought well over 50 games for both my Switch and PS4. Dividing the $300 price tag of the consoles that comes out to paying $6 extra per game. If you only buy 30 games for a $300 console that comes out to $10 extra per game. Even if you buy a new console on launch day for $500 it's only $16 extra per game after buying 30 games. That's far less money than what microtransactions, and other shady tactics are going to bleed you per game.

That being said, I do buy PC releases so long as they avoid greedy tactics, release same day/date as the console version, and lack Denuvo.
