Yeah, in fact that would quite literally make the Switch a “Gen 8.5” console. However do we acknowledge in-between gens? In any case it wouldn’t make the question any easier.

Your last sentence is true. Then it depends on how Switch is positioned and what kind of games it still gets.

If Switch is able to get the majority of next gen big AAA multiplats 3rd party titles, and they look and play at respectable levels.
