It's not swinging of the arm, it's a flick of the hand unless you have a huge sensor bar. In Metroid Prime 3 (with Advanced controls) you don't even need to move the pointer to the edge to turn. With adjustable turning speed, you'll be turning as fast, and aiming more precisely than with analog sticks. As soon as you're on the Wiimote player's screen, you're dead.
