At the end of the day it is the price of the console that attracts the most buyers. Nintendo Wii at $249 is far more attractive than a PS3 at $399, $499 or $599. Nintendo Wii launched at $249, whereas the PS3 launched at $599. $350 price difference, average mums and dads would see Nintendo Wii far better than the PS3.
