I know and experienced the same kind of gameplay before and i never really cared for that kind of gameplay so i can judge how that game does for me based on characters and story alone but what i judge is based on how i myself would like it and that should not reflect upon others. It's just my own personal preference, and how you enjoy it is yours. Bolded: I would say as an avid bookreader i get sucked into a story and can imagine its world by just reading and have valid opinions about that and something i can see and hear makes it even more easier to have an opinion on. Now having to play this kind of story and forced doing the things i morally disagree with in such a realistic way myself would make me depressed so playing the game surely wouldnt make my opinion better. |
You may not like this type of gameplay, I know I didn't like the original much. But the TLOU2 is much superior to the first in this aspect, and not quite similar to any other game thrust me. But yes if you don't like the gameplay itself them there is no need to play you may watch a cutscene only video on youtube and get the story on a superficial level.
