$400 seems a bit steep for the Series S if the whole point of it is to be a cheap entry level system, as opposed to the full fat Series X.

If I were MS I'd got for $300 for the Series S, they can afford it.

I think entry level is relative to the price of the PS5 and XBox Series X. The MSRP for XBox One S is still 300 so I have a hard time seeing it at that price. Unless Microsoft feels that getting users on Gamepass is worth taking a pretty sizeable hit in the short term.
