It lessens the ending, as it turns out Ellie was actually stupid and didn't piece together what Joel did, but at least it didn't make the game's events meaningless like what happened to Star Wars. |
For me it makes the first one harder to play because I already didn't like the gameplay on the first time and now that TLOU2 is much better at that than the first I wouldn't want to go play the first again.
