The 870 Qvo comes with QLC (quad-level cells) NAND flash modules. Furthermore, it also comes with a dedicated DRAM chip, allowing faster and more consistent write speeds. Under ideal conditions, it can deliver sequential read and write speeds of up to 560MB/s and 530MB/s, respectively. Each SKU comes with a three-year warranty. The 1TB variant has an endurance rating of 360 TBW (Terabytes written). That number increases with a corresponding increase in storage and caps out at 2,880 TBW for the 8TB option. The 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, and 8TB models are priced at INR 9,999 (US$133), INR 19,999 (US$266), INR 39,999 (US$533), and INR 74,999 (US$999), respectively.
Samsung has also launched a new iteration of its portable SSDs. Much like its predecessor, the Portable SSD T7 comes with an integrated fingerprint scanner. It offers NVMe-like performance with its near 1GB/s read and write speeds. You will, however, require a compatible USB Gen 3.2 port to get those numbers. The drive employs AES 256-bit hardware encryption to keep your data safe from unscrupulous elements. Storage options start at 500GB and max out at 2TB. The 500GB version retails at INR 9,999 (US$133), 1TB variant at INR 17,999 (US$240) and the 2TB model at INR 29,999 (US$ 400).
