You clearly haven't watched enough cheesy horror movies. Not liking her and she being poorly written are two different things. Throughout most of the game, she annoys me, yes, but she isn't poorly written. She just says/does things I wouldn't, and folks I know wouldn't, but is believable and plenty of people are like her.

That was my comment for him on the daily conversations both had... they are teenager, in love and new relationship so that conversation was exactly what I expected and yes it does annoy me, but that was choose in purpose and tailored. Still that doesn't salvage her and certainly writers could have put a little more effort to make her interesting (and perhaps they decided not to on purpose).
