By all means you can dislike something, but yaknow sometimes you just have to experience something. See the facial expressions, etc.
It's like the difference between texting and talking to someone in person. Some people have this magnetism/command charm that can only be experienced in person. Getting the text version and deciding your opinion, or even from a friend's opinion just seems, I dunno, naive.
