Look at Digital Foundry they gave two reveals, one on the week advance and one on release day.

Yes, and Gamespot did the same thing as well, as did a few other reviewers. But Metacritic only published the first review and the scores actually were the same so that didnt make a difference.

I didnt bother to check all of them but "The Gamer" has a note at the end of the review stating they purchased a copy which brought forth my question.

Well meta only uses the first score a reviewer give, so perhaps some of the reviewers could release the preliminary but no score to them with the full give a score.

About the gamer perhaps they aren't recognized as noteworthy so ND or Sony didn't give them a copy.
