Smite is once again looking further afield for new characters to add to its MOBA brawls. Not satisfied with just drawing from religion and mythology, Hi-Rez has been borrowing deities and characters from horror and fantasy. Last month, Cthulhu joined the roster, but a more surprising addition is on its way: Avatar: The Last Airbender characters.

Well-known game writer Chris Avellone is the subject of multiple allegations of predatory behavior and sexual misconduct following an IGN interview with him and Emily Grace Buck, who worked together on the upcoming RPG The Waylanders. In response to a tweet about the interview, Twitter user Karissa described her experiences with Avellone at a convention, including both personal interactions and an account of his behavior toward others.
>> Because of that, he's no longer involved in The Waylanders nor Dying Light 2.

The last time we wrote about Spinch, back in 2018, we were expecting to get our hands on it that summer. That never panned out, but we've now got a new release date to look forward to, September 3, and a weird trailer to tide us over until then.

Vermintide 2's latest update kicks off the rat-smasher's third season, chucking in new cosmetics, reshuffling the Weaves and introducing weather variations to the outdoor maps. The highlight, however, is the new career for Markus Kruber, which sticks him in a suit of armour and sends him questing.

The Artful Escape has been a bit of an enigma since it was first announced. Trailers from when it was first announced back in 2017 were filled with psychedelic visuals of a young man rocking out on a glowing guitar, hopping from one colourful dimension to the next. The story behind the imagery has now become a little more clear as developers Beethoven and Dinosaur have released a new gameplay video with accompanying commentary.

Since 2005, Traveller's Tales has built more than 20 Lego games, and for most of that time it's focus has been exclusively on turning those bricks into videogames. Back in 2008, however, the studio set its sights on a movie tie-in for the newly-announced Hobbit adaptations. And then it proceeded to spend a lot of money trying to make that happen.
