Monday news, part two:

Monument Valley dev's Assemble With Care has received its first free update
https://www.pcgamer.com/monument-valley-devs-assemble-with-care-has-received-its-first-free-update/
Assemble With Care, the latest game from ustwo Games, the team behind the striking puzzler Monument Valley, is a little gem—a quiet little oasis of calm. It's not another puzzle, not really, instead it's exactly what it says on the box—a game about assembling things.

Cyberpunk 2077 delay will also push back DLC and multiplayer mode
https://www.pcgamer.com/cyberpunk-2077-delay-will-also-push-back-dlc-and-multiplayer-modes/
It was disappointing, but not entirely surprising, when CD Projekt pushed back from the release of Cyberpunk 2077 from its planned release in September to November 19. In a follow-up call to investors, CD Projekt vice president of business development Michał Nowakowski said that the delay will also impact the scheduling for post-release content, including the planned multiplayer mode.

Cloudpunk is getting a fancy collector's edition on PC after all
https://www.pcgamer.com/cloudpunk-is-getting-a-fancy-collectors-edition-on-pc-after-all/
I really like the cyberpunk delivery game Cloudpunk. I think our 80/100 review gets it spot on: The story (stories, really) and voice acting can be dodgy in places, but it's an absolutely gorgeous experience—visually and aurally—that comes together beautifully overall.

Watch over 80 minutes of new Baldur's Gate 3 gameplay
https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-over-80-minutes-of-new-baldurs-gate-3-gameplay/
Now that we're seeing more and more of Baldur's Gate 3, it's starting to feel like a real game. Attacks of opportunity! Skill checks! Mind-flaying brain tadpoles! The sweet sounds of Dungeons and Dragons. Baldur's Gate 3 is (hopefully) coming to early access in August, but you can watch the new lengthy gameplay demo above from D&D Live 2020's livestream.

Star Wars: Squadrons will have 'zero microtransactions'
https://www.pcgamer.com/star-wars-squadrons-will-have-zero-microtransactions/
We noted in our recent look at Star Wars: Squadrons that while the game will have two kinds of unlockables, cosmetics and modifications, Electronic Arts hadn't commented on the presence of microtransactions in the game. Today it clarified the situation: There won't be any at all.
>> And...

Star Wars: Squadrons will be an exclusively first-person game
https://www.pcgamer.com/star-wars-squadrons-will-be-an-exclusively-first-person-game/
First-person cockpits are the best. Not only can you see all the switches and doo-dads that make a complicated feat of technology fly through air (or space), but it's even cooler if your pilot manually reaches over to turn a knob. Yet, cockpit views are often trivialized by the clearly superior wide-angle of third-person view. That's why I'm glad that Star Wars: Squadrons will be played exclusively in first-person, according to a recent Gamespot interview with creative director Ian Frazier.

https://www.pcgamer.com/evil-genius-2-devs-share-new-details-on-henchmen-and-lair-construction/
Evil Genius 2 only recently got a new trailer at the PC Gaming Show, but Rebellion is already out here with another video update. Producer Ash Tregay and lead designer Rich Edwards sat down to talk about new features and break down what we saw in the trailer.

Players in The Lord of the Rings Online gather to honor the late Sir Ian Holm
https://www.pcgamer.com/players-in-the-lord-of-the-rings-online-gather-to-honor-the-late-sir-ian-holm/
Sir Ian Holm, who played Bilbo Baggins in The Lord of the Rings movies and Frodo Baggins in the BBC radio version, died on June 19 at the age of 88. He was honored by players across multiple servers in The Lord of the Rings Online, some meeting at the Baggins' home of Bag End while others walked to Rivendell together to gather around the in-game Bilbo and pay their respects.

Watch EEK3, the Haunted PS1 trailer showcase for indie horror
https://www.pcgamer.com/watch-eek3-the-haunted-ps1-trailer-showcase-for-indie-horror/
Everyone's favorite part of E3, the definitely real and not a metafictional construct called EEK3, took place at a new site where the abandoned mall used to stand on the edge of town earlier today. Despite inclement weather, including fog that reduced draw distance to a record low and scanlines of up to 40 percent, turnout was good, with many attendees relying on CRT filters for their own safety.
Right, enough of that. What actually happened is that the fine people behind the Haunted PS1 Demo Disc 2020 assembled a showcase of indie games sharing the low-poly horror aesthetic. Between brief bumpers hosted by a skeleton and a ghost, trailers for over 40 upcoming and recently released games were shown.

Huge Rainbow Six Siege leaks detail new operators, gadgets, and weapon sights
https://www.pcgamer.com/huge-rainbow-six-siege-leaks-detail-new-operators-gadgets-and-weapon-sights/
The shaky footage of Rainbow Six Siege's next two operators from a few weeks ago was a pinhole leak, and now the dam has broken and a wave of Season 3 and 4 info has hit us. There's a lot to unpack: sticky cameras, robotic arms, a new hard breaching tool, laser grids, and more weapon sights.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time official reveal coming tomorrow
https://www.pcgamer.com/crash-bandicoot-4-its-about-time-official-reveal-coming-tomorrow/
Following a leak from the Taiwanese rating board, Activision has announced that the official reveal of Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is happening tomorrow, June 22, at 8 am PDT/4 pm BST. The announcement tweet was accompanied by a teaser trailer that hearkens back to the downright creepy marketing for the original 1996 game.

Civ 6's battle royale mode gets even weirder with zombies, aliens, and Sean Bean
https://www.pcgamer.com/civ-6s-battle-royale-mode-gets-even-weirder-with-zombies-aliens-and-sean-bean/
Civilization 6's developers recently outlined what's coming in its next free update, including a host of patches and tweaks. And then, almost four minutes into the video explaining this, they casually mentioned that Civ 6's battle royale mode will be getting zombie and alien factions, as well as narration by Sean Bean.

Valorant will soon let players surrender early in a match
https://www.pcgamer.com/valorant-will-soon-let-players-surrender-early-in-a-match/
In the first edition of Riot's Ask Valorant blog post series, the developer announced that patch 1.02 is bringing a much-needed feature for when all hope is lost—match surrender.

Absurdist RPG Hylics 2 will be out tomorrow, here's a weird trailer
https://www.pcgamer.com/absurdist-rpg-hylics-2-will-be-out-tomorrow-heres-a-weird-trailer/
Hylics was a surreal RPG by Mason Lindroth, as much an art gallery as a videogame. Writing about it for us, Giada Zavaris said, "The best moments of Hylics are when it reminds you that it's not truly a videogame, but more of a toy—when you're playing a song with friends, picking vegetables, building sandcastles on a beach. Small Interactions that make the environment melt and crumble under your touch. It's a small world, yet it feels more lively than bigger RPGs full of static, untouchable elements."
A sequel has been in the works for a couple of years now, and will be released tomorrow.

Fortnite no longer contains police cars
https://www.pcgamer.com/fortnite-no-longer-contains-police-cars/
Fortnite is now a cop-free zone. Or at least free from their cars. The battle royale shed the vehicles last week with the Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 update, in most cases replacing them with normal cars.
