That's like saying that Sony should stop creating exclusive games because they already have enough to stay forever relevant. Just like Sony's brand power is based on many years and hundreds of quality exclusives as well as the continued release of said exclusives Epic need continuous output to bring more people over. Except that Epic has a giant monolith as competition and needs to do 10 times more to even start to be competitive.

RL is gonna be one of their bigger deals and will certainly draw a good bunch of people to them. All they need is to convince people to sign up and every little bit helps. RL is gonna be a pretty big little bit. And again, nothing is actually happening to the game or its players. Literally the only thing that's happening is that they remove the buy button on Steam. Something they probably wouldn't even need to do if the game launches F2P on EGS. Because why buy it on Steam when you can get it for free on EGS.

Epic is small compared to Valve. The question of "Why does Epic need more when it already has so much" seems a bit silly when you compare it to how much Valve has.

It's funny how you talk about creating exclusives and releasing new exclusives and yet your whole idea is not to launch a new exclusive in the form of Rocket League 2 (or whatever name they come up with), but to coerce the current player of Rocket League into using only the Epic Store.

But it's ok. That's how you think Epic should/will do and that's all I asked for.
