Because "journalists" nowadays are nothing more than activists, because they need to rely on a good relationship with the companies, fear of twitter mob and etc. "Journalists" today represents only a portion of the gamerbase and usually with a very close mindset. When the game is released and people from all ages, genders, political and economic backgrounds experience the game then we have a full view of how it is received.

This is why for me user score is much more representative of a game than what the "critics" say.

And yet earlier you mentioned you had seen the ending, while alluring to the fact the game will be very divisive between the fans and the fact that the critic reviews for the game are just a facade. You saw a cutscene and that is representative of the entire game for you, because you didn't like it. You think user scores will be more representative because there will be plenty of fake low ratings, thus validating your opinion of the ending.

Honestly, did you have any intention of playing the game before spoiling the ending to yourself?

Yes I had as the first game is one of my favorite games ever, with a special place in my heart. A game I would recomend to anyone to experience rather they liked games or not.

When the first traillers started to be released I was a little disappointed but still trusted naughty dog. As time went by I justbrealised the game wasnt be what I expected. When the first 2 hour leak was released I watched it and confirmed what I thought.

It wasnt one cutscene or a couple of screenshots as Druckmann and Nolan liednto the audience. 2 hours of gameplay with a lot of cutscenes.

I though I was still going to play it but much later on, would never give 60 pounds for it.

This week the ending leaked and other scenes and Im baffled. Not going to play it anymore and it impresses me a lot so many 10's for this game. For me the review from Skill Up sums it perfectly.

Hence why im curious about the public opinion vs critics opinion on this one.
