In your mind, what will the Xbox SX conference have to do to beat the PS5 conference?

Okay, maybe it really is just a freak coincidence that all the games MS has announced seemed to be a tailor fit for your taste in games, a 80 Metacritic game like Hellblade happens to be your favorite new ip - and only game you wanted to play so bad when it was a ps4 exclusive - even though you have no interest in any of Sony's 95+ Metacritic flagship exclusives because they're all just 3rd person story driven single player adventure games...

I honestly wouldn't know if MS's services are better than Sony's. I tried GP and it was great to play Gears 4/5 for $1. PS Now, I honestly don't give 2 shits about. Stuff like services are just a bonus to me and definitely not something a console platform should hang their hat on. In the end people will buy console X over Y because it has the games they care about. Sony caters to a wide audience with their exclusives and isn't afraid to take risks. Do I buy them all? Hell no, there are plenty of quality Sony exclusives I don't care about either. However, Sony has proven time and time again that they deliver with plenty of games and fresh ip's I do care about. MS, however, has pretty much done the opposite.

Like I said, I'm totally open minded and I do actually hope MS will prove me wrong in July. It's just that I got this gut feeling I'll be able to predict exactly what they'll be showing, and it's not going to be enough.

Well the second and last paragraph seem subjective enough to leave alone. Now I thought I explained my tastes and why I have them, how Xbox caters to it. Yet you remain unconvinced by Hellblade. Fair enough. 

I like Viking culture and time periods. Not fantastical like GOW but the actual Viking era. Really excited for Assassins Creed this year! Same goes for TV shows like Vikings and The Last Kingdom on Netflix. Something about being in such a primitive period and the drama that occurs draws me to it. This looked like a unique take on it while maintaining historical accuracy. Yet they balance that with the concept that the main character has paranoid schizophrenia with deep psychosis/hallucinations. The concept that people wouldn’t know how to react to such a thing in that period intrigues me and struck me as very original.  

It was billed as a shorter game which suited me fine. Again I’m not really into long 3rd person adventure games so this struck me as more intimate. The narrative possibilities of having multiple voices inside your head. The combat looked tense from what I’ve seen but the game wouldn’t over rely on it either. I liked that it was more about the journey and characters then the combat or puzzles. The idea that your save would be terminated if you died too much made me want to try my hardest with every encounter. I dont get that feeling much anymore with quick saves being a norm. Graphically I was also blown away. 

And then it came to Xbox and Ms bought the studio :)
