8 sounds a bit high for everything you commented.
Personally, to me the game is a 6-7/10, i agree with most of what you write, and I'll acknowledge Im probably not the target audience for this kind of game. Got it cause its constantly on sale and it had very positive reviews, and while I enjoy the gameplay and aesthetics, the childish/schoolyard tone of the dialogue and character motivations and the constant attempt to look cool/edgy derails the experience at times for me, and those are very much part of the identity of the franchise. Very anticlimatic final chapters too.
