Part two of the news:

You know that sudden panic you get in Rainbow Six Siege when you’re not quite sure where those footsteps you just heard are coming from—wait, was that upstairs or downstairs? Inconsistent sound cues are a common problem that players are used to working around, but a dramatic new plan from Ubisoft to rebuild parts of the sound system might finally improve echolocation in Siege.
Star Wars: Squadrons will support full HOTAS setups

I was a little bit disappointed (but not surprised) when Electronic Arts revealed that Star Wars: Squadrons will be focused primarily on multiplayer: There will be a "singleplayer story," but the trailer and game description on Origin both emphasize 5v5 battles almost exclusively. But my mood lifted when creative director Ian S. Frazier confirmed on Twitter that the game will have full support for proper control setups.
PAX will be a 9-day, non-stop online event this year
https://www.pcgamer.com/pax-will-be-a-9-day-non-stop-online-event-this-year/
PAX West, PAX Australia, and EGX have been cancelled as physical events this year, but the organizers behind them are pooling their energy to replace them with a nine-day online event that'll run 24-hours-a-day for the whole duration. They're calling it PAX Online, and it'll run September 12 through 20. It'll be free, too.

Today Outward gets a new DLC pack in the form of The Soroboreans, and the launch trailer is embedded above. Gone are the days when all you needed to worry about was drinking, eating, sleeping, and keeping track of your belongings: now you'll also need to contend with Corruption. Aren't you glad videogames aren't real?
One of Apex Legends' bunkers now has a countdown timer
https://www.pcgamer.com/apex-legends-bunker-locations/
When season 5 launched, one of the first new things to check out was the strange bunker carved into the cliff face near the Broken Coast South area of Kings Canyon. While the loot in that landing spot is mostly lacklustre—bar a shiny Legendary Knockdown Shield— dataminer Shrugtal recently leaked information surrounding some exciting drops, as well as dates for when the mysterious Apex Legends bunkers would begin opening across the map.
Another Apex Legends dataminer Biast12, has since checked in on the bunker that— according to the previous leak—was due to begin opening on June 16, noticing that it now displays a 'Hatch Status Update' with a countdown.

Valve has pledged to sponsor the Game Devs of Color Expo, which is set to take place on September 19, online, which organiser Shawn Alexander Allen has called "decent first steps" after the company was criticised for not making a statement about Black Lives Matter.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Season 3 kicks off with some huge changes

The Device event started Fortnite's new season off with a bang—and now a flood has followed the storm.
Starting today, in a dramatic change, most of the game's map lies underwater. With last season's locations on the bottom of the sea, Season 3 offers new areas to discover, including the charmingly-named Rickety Rick and Catty Corner.
