Y'all mixing having a brand and using nostalgia. Nintendo successfully reinvent their IPs and they dont need to rely a lot on nostalgia but they still give some nods for fan service... as a lot of old franchise do even in movies.

And people naming new IPs, like of course they dont use nostalgia its NEW. Splatoon doesn't either, I know shocker. Its sony's problem if they struggle keeping a franchise alive/fresh more than 2 generations.

Let's say they are having their fair share of nostalgia too with the remaster/remakes.

Nothing bad with nostalgia tho, just that some of y'all really used it as an argument that wasnt even nostalgia to something just normal in an industry.

Actually Sony doesn't struggle with it, those franchises mostly were still selling well when Sony closed and started a new IP.
