xMetroid said: Y'all mixing having a brand and using nostalgia. Nintendo successfully reinvent their IPs and they dont need to rely a lot on nostalgia but they still give some nods for fan service... as a lot of old franchise do even in movies. And people naming new IPs, like of course they dont use nostalgia its NEW. Splatoon doesn't either, I know shocker. Its sony's problem if they struggle keeping a franchise alive/fresh more than 2 generations. Let's say they are having their fair share of nostalgia too with the remaster/remakes. Nothing bad with nostalgia tho, just that some of y'all really used it as an argument that wasnt even nostalgia to something just normal in an industry. |
Actually Sony doesn't struggle with it, those franchises mostly were still selling well when Sony closed and started a new IP.
