Sakaguchi is an old dog that should learn some new tricks. He cant keep doing exactly the same as 10-12 years ago as long as game desing go.If he does his works can be "good " or even "very good" as Lost Oddysey but never brilliant.Game design keeps evolving and Sakaguchi is frozen in the past.

Sorry totally disagree. FF7 was the last game that Sakaguchi had full control of in FF series. Needless to say it was well above 8-12 in terms of story and gameplay. Lost Odyssey was a brilliant game certainly more emotinal than FF7 and very very similar in gameplay with a few added tweaks(ring system). Blue Dragon was good not great, but the second post of his brings absolute warmth to me. I want the traditional JRPG's not the suedo realtime thingys(they can be good if done right IE not FF12). I couldnt care less if th review media mark traditional JRPG's down for not doing anything new, because that is the very reason I love the genre.

lol. FF VIII and FF IX trash over FF VII in terms of gameplay...and story. Don't let rabid FF7 fans delude you about this thing. There were much better FFs on the PS1 than FF VII.

And like Acevil said, the last game he had control of was FF IX (the best FF).

When FFVIII came out, everyone I knew, hated it. The junction system was confusing, and the whole "lets asorb magic spells from enemies" was/is the worst idea that ANY FF ever addopted. The story, and card game were awesome, though.

Back from the dead, I'm afraid.
