Sometimes I really hate port beggars. It's always the PC-Only types begging for Sony or Nintendo to just go third party.

"There's only two games I want to play on that console, and paying $300 isn't worth it!"

Says the guy who spent $1000 on his tower, $400 on his monitor, and has a huge backlog of steam games he bought but never played.

PC has exclusives too, but you never hear console gamers whining about how something like the Total War series isn't on consoles.

If you can only think of two games, then you really need to get better taste in games.

With Switch in particular you gain the ability to play games on the go. That's worth $300 in the long run, since you make up lost gaming time by being able to play on the plane, or roadtrips.

"They would make more money if they went third party!"

Yeah, you don't know how first party sales work. First they make money from the actual game sale, and then they make money from the royalties of 3rd party games. The extra money from selling your first party games on PC can't compare to the money lost from moving less console units, by gong 3rd party.

"Why do fanboys care if some extra people get to play their games? It's a good thing that more people get to play these games."

It's not about denying people the ability to play games. It's about weakening brand power, which weakens the platform as a whole. Companies are in the business to make money, not cater to your every insignificant whim. If McDonalds gave out their food for free more people would get to eat McDonalds every day, but the company would lose a serious amount of money.

I just can't stand playing games at 30 FPS! Bring this game to PC!

30 FPS on a console =/= 30 FPS on a PC. Usually when a PC is running a game at 30 FPS that's just the average framerate with huge swings up or down. It's these huge swings in framerate that make 30 FPS on a PC look bad. Console games are usually optimized so they run at a more consistent 30 FPS.

Framerate doesn't matter for a lot of genres like Turn Based games.

Some games on consoles run at 60 FPS.

Get the Pro/X and have those games run at about 40-45 FPS then!

"I want TRUE 4K!"

4K is completely overrated. HDR with a good artstyle is way more important than 4K.
