I have wanted to go super wide... But I think it would hold the same issues as Eyefinity setups, that you get the fish-eye issue in games and many games just won't support aspects outside of 16:9 natively without some modifying of config files, big issue for older titles that I enjoy.
Plus allot of media is natively 16:9.
I think my next display will either be a high refresh rate 16:9 32" 1440P panel or a 43" 4k panel.
