Well they've been getting that support for years now and making progress along the way, while ppl have been enjoying what they've worked on so far.
Doesn't have to be the best game in the entire world. It's not a game built for 7= Billion people. It's a game that those who funded it wanted something other devs/games have neglected for years, or not striven toward.
That said, I still expect the usual "scam citizen" comments around the net (especially here) and disapproval of what the game is doing, even when it nears eventual completion.
Mankind, in its arrogance and self-delusion, must believe they are the mirrors to God in both their image and their power. If something shatters that mirror, then it must be totally destroyed.
