Personally, I don't like big screens. Last year when I replaced my monitor (my 23" one started to make electric noises), I went with a 25" one with a 1440p panel. And I'm very happy with it.
The best part is that, contrary to what I expected, I got used to it very fast. It gives me hope that some day in the future I'll be able to get a 27" one with a 4K panel and be comfortabel with it.
