Is Zen 2 really that bad at overclocking that a 3900XT can't go up to 5GHz?

It's like AMD wants me to buy Intel.

Sandy Bridge from 2011 wants it's 5ghz back.

In all seriousness, there is likely an architectural limitation that prevents Ryzen from lofty clockrates, TSMC's manufacturing likely plays a role here... As it's a general-use node, where-as Intel can optimize it's fabs to meet certain goals like frequency.

I didn't know you overclocked your CPU. How much did you get from your current processor?

Today I've seen a review of MSI's MEG Z490 motherboard. It has a small fan between the VRMs to bring air inside from the back I/O panel to cool the socket!

Lol jeez. I sure hope their 10nm advancements has been improving since idk how much longer they can push the 14nm.

At this point, they might as well ditch 10nm and go straight to 7nm, that will put them competitively against TSMC 5nm node then.
